BASEBALL: The Bullpen Baseball Training will be hosting winter development from Nov. 18 through Feb. 15 for high school athletes. The hitting program will be limited to eight athletes; the throwing strength and recovery program will be limited to 12 athletes; Saturday infield will be limited to six middle school and high school athletes; minors group circuit will be limited to six 8-10 year-olds; there will be open cage time for hitting or throwing; and “Hands Off” hitting or throwing. The monthly costs are $200 for throwing and hitting program, $125 for throwing or hitting program, $100 for Saturday infield, $100 for minors group circuit, $50 for open cage time and $50 for “Hands Off”. East Valley baseball coach Jesse Benedetti and his son Riley Benedetti, a pitcher for the University of Washington, will host Benny’s Bootcamp, a 1/2-day throwing camp on Friday, Dec. 27 at The Bullpen. The purpose of the camp is to introduce drills and prepare players for their upcoming season. Pitchers will be introduced to strength training and recovery protocols. Players will be encouraged to continue the program on their own or register to continue training at The Bullpen prior to the start of their baseball season.
