YAKIMA, Wash. — Issac Madrigal had himself a night on Friday and, not surprisingly, so did Jack Van De Brake.

Madrigal was a model of efficiency as West Valley’s quarterback, completing 22 of 27 passes for 344 yards and three touchdowns as the Rams rolled to a 36-7 victory over Prosser at Clasen Field.

Since Van De Brake is Madrigal’s favorite and most dangerous target it figures that he had a big chunk of that 344 yards.

He did.

Hauling in 11 receptions for a career-high 178 yards, Van De Brake scored touchdowns on plays of 15 and 60 yards. Caleb Woodcock also got in on the aerial show, catching six passes for 131 yards and a touchdown.

Prosser tried to keep pace in the air as sophomore Kaiden Rivera, who took over for injured Haden Hicks, threw 50 passes. He completed 34 for 230 yards and the Mustangs lone touchdown.

West Valley (1-1) travels to fifth-ranked Camas next Friday while Prosser (0-2) hosts Ephrata.
