Yakima Herald-Republic sports reporter Luke Thompson, right, challenges Sunnyside’s Kameran Rodriguez to a basketball competition.

YAKIMA, Wash. — This week, the summer challenge tries to go shot for shot against one of the top players for the reigning Big Nine champions.

Obviously, we shot this video before last week’s unfortunate hamstring injury suffered while trying to cover Zillah wide receiver Sebastian Godina. He proved to be a little too elusive, although it’s worth noting he couldn’t always prevent completions on defense.

There was no defense as Sunnyside’s Kameran Rodriguez showed off the jump shot that helped her average nearly 14 points per game for the Grizzlies last season. But could the first team all-CBBN performer handle the pressure and knock down enough shots to win a game of G-R-I-Z-Z?
