SELAH, Wash. — A dominant season carried over into district play for Selah in Thursday's semifinals.

The Vikings scored three goals in the first seven minutes to beat Othello 4-1 to extend their winning streak to 15 games. Selah only conceded four goals during that stretch and won every game by at least two.

Baily Thompson opened the scoring before reigning offensive player of the year Isabelle Moultray added a pair of goals. Othello broke the Vikings' eight-game shutout streak, but it didn't matter as they qualified for the 2A state tournament and set up a rematch of last season's district title game against Ellensburg.

ELLENSBURG 3, EPHRATA 1: At Ellensburg, Caitlyn Cheney had a goal and an assist in the first five minutes to lead the Bulldogs to the CWAC district title.

Blake Johnson gave Ellensburg scored in the 53rd minute for Ellensburg, which will face Selah in Quincy with both teams guaranteed a trip to the 2A state tournament.

WEST VALLEY 3, DAVIS 0: At West Valley, another unbeaten league season is in the books for the Rams, who swept 25-6, 25-6, 25-12 to extend the program's CBBN win streak to 60 matches.

As the top seed, West Valley will host the district finals on Nov. 9 and face No. 2 Wenatchee in the championship at noon.

Sixth-seeded Davis will travel to No. 3 Eastmont for a district play-in game on Tuesday.

Fifth-seeded Eisenhower will travel to No. 4 Moses Lake for a district play-in match on Tuesday.

TCP WINS LEAGUE: At Burbank, sixth-ranked Tri-Cities Prep defeated Walla Walla Valley 27-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21 to win the league tournament and clinch a state berth.

TCP topped Kittitas in the semifinals 25-11, 25-13, 25-14. Kittitas, Mabton and WWV all advance to winner-to-state, loser-out games in the District 5-6 tournament next Thursday at Quincy.

RIVERSIDE CHRISTIAN 3, CASCADE CHRISTIAN 2: At Riverside Christian, Connie Yallup had 15 kills and five aces for the Crusaders in a 25-17, 24-26, 25-17, 20-25, 16-14 win.

Lilie Sanders totaled 32 assists for Riverside Christian, which will enter the district tournament next week as the No. 4 seed.

Goldendale girls 1-2-3

NACHES HEIGHTS — With Ellie Rising's repeat victory leading a sweep of the top three places, Goldendale's girls dominated the SCAC district meet Thursday afternoon at Apple Ridge Run.

Rising sliced 25 seconds off last year's winning time, covering the three-mile race course in 18 minutes, 42 seconds.

Teammates Kimberly Chestnut and Abby Hedges finished second and third and both broke 20 minutes as the Timberwolves tallied 29 points to win by 35.

Goldendale also had the top local finishers in the boys race as Corbin Riley and Sterling Beasley placed fifth and sixth to help their team earn the third and final state berth.

For the boys, the top three teams and 21 individuals qualified for state. The top two teams and 14 individuals advanced for girls.
