YAKIMA, Wash. - Junior Alejandro Rosario scored a goal assisted by Johnny Ramirez early in the first half and the defense did the rest as Eisenhower clipped Davis 1-0 in CBBN boys soccer Friday night at Zaepfel Stadium.

Goalkeepers Alex Diaz and Ivan Oceguera combined for five saves for the Cadets, who moved to 3-5 in league and 5-6 overall. Ike, which avenged an overtime loss at Davis last month, plays at Wenatchee on Tuesday.

Davis (5-3, 7-4-1) hosts league-leading Eastmont on Tuesday.

HIGHLAND 3, GRANGER 1: At Highland, Jorge Silva had a goal and assist in the first half to lead the Scotties to their fourth straight win.

Johnny Rivera and Josue Silva also scored for Highland, which finished the first half of West Division play at 4-1. The Scotties (6-2-2 overall) will try to avenge their lone league loss on Tuesday against La Salle.

Granger (3-2, 3-6-1) plays at Mabton on Monday.

Ike hands WHS first loss

Drew Kornegay threw a complete game with seven strikeouts and Malachi Spurrier drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh inning to give Eisenhower a 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten Wenatchee on Friday.

The Panthers won the nightcap 8-4 at Ike Field.

Steven Abb was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Tyler Epperson was 2 for 3 with a double in game two for Eisenhower (9-5 overall, 7-5 CBBN), which has a bye next week and will resume play at home against West Valley on April 24.
