The Yakima United women secured a Northwest Premier League playoff spot Sunday with three matches remaining in the season.

The United (3-2) beat the Oly-Pen Force 6-0 at Yakima Valley College.

Lauryn Peters finished with a hat trick, scoring the first goal of the game in eight seconds. She added her second goal in the 31st minute of the first half and her third in the 51st minute of the second half.

Goalkeeper Brynlee Ward secured the shutout with three saves.

Grace Terrill, Natalie Wright and Corynn Vigil all scored second half goals for Yakima.

The United women will travel to Centralia on Saturday to play the Twin City Union.
