Central Washington’s Alexis Pana was named the GNAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.

Pana, a senior guard, led the Wildcats with 40 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and two steals in a pair of games at the Holiday Inn Cherry Creek Classic in Denver this past weekend. Pana shot 44.8% from the field and was a perfect 8 of 8 from the free throw line.

In Friday’s 60-48 victory against Colorado Christian, Pana had 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists and a block.

She finished with a game-high 28 points on 9 of 17 shooting, 4 of 9 from 3-point range, and 6 of 6 from the free throw line in Saturday’s 69-67 loss to MSU Denver. She also had four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block.

Central Washington will open GNAC play on Thursday hosting Seattle Pacific.
