ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Samantha Bowman scored 14 points, but she was the only Central Washington player to reach double figures as the cold-shooting Wildcats lost 68-51 to Alaska Anchorage in a GNAC women’s basketball game Thursday night.

Bowman also had a team-best nine rebounds for CWU, which shot just 37% from the field (16 of 43). Despite that, the Wildcats did manage to record 14 assists, with Tori Maeda collecting seven.

Central (2-3 GNAC, 7-6 overall) also committed 21 turnovers to just six for UAA, with the Seawolves (5-0, 15-1) holding a 17-2 edge in points off turnovers.
