PEE WEE SOCCER LEAGUE

Boys & Girls — 5-6 years old

Kids will work on the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting. This program is designed to teach and improve basic soccer skills, provide a positive experience, and encourage sportsmanship in youth in non-competitive scrimmages. Fee includes a T-shirt. Fee: $43/$35 with resident discount and $10 for an optional ball. Saturdays from 10-11 a.m. Dates: February 1-22. Location: Yakima Field House, 1015 E Lincoln Ave., Suite 105.

INTRO TO SKIING/SNOWBOARDING

Boys & Girls 8-15 years old

Want to try skiing or snowboarding? This program is designed for kids who are new to the sport. It’s a great way to get started. This package includes transportation, equipment rental, lesson and use of the beginner ski area. Register early, space is limited. Fee: $52 for Child/Junior (up to age 15). Meet and pick up at Public Works at 2301 Fruitvale Blvd., Yakima. Session: January 20 — 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

SLEDDING

Boys & Girls 8-14 years old

No School? Escape the city for some winter mountain fun. Hit the slopes at Snoqualmie Pass with machine-groomed lanes, commercial-grade tubes with covers and surface tows to pull your kids back to the top of the hill. Transportation provided. Fee: $44/$34 with resident discount. Date: Monday, February 17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meet and pick up at Public Works at 2301 Fruitvale Blvd, Yakima.

WINTER BASKETBALL — ITTY BITTY

SWIM LESSONS

Parent and Child classes

Get ready to swim with baby or toddler. Enjoy special time with your little one as they learn basic water safety and skills like blowing bubbles and kicking to get them ready to learn the basics of swimming. LIL’ KICKERS SOCCER FOR KIDS

An award-winning child development program that uses soccer to help children ages 18 months to 12 years tackle important developmental milestones through age-appropriate and fun-filled activities. Inspires kids to be active, strong and confident. Classes are 50 minutes and run on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, depending on age group.
