To the editor — I find it amusing when letter writers lecture us about Christian standards and whom they should support, clearly knowing nothing of biblical standards. Then there are those who rail against “dogma” being imposed upon our society. Funny again, because the dominant philosophies of our society, humanism and Marxism, impose their dogma on us on a daily basis. But apparently that’s OK.

Christians largely voted for Trump. Why? Maybe because Hilary Clinton was utterly corrupt and militantly anti-Christian? Trump’s a liar? Funny, I think the same about Obama, only a thousand times more so. Trump has acted in support of Christian principles. Truth is subjective, but fact is fact.

Christian dogma/morals have largely been removed from our society. Want proof? The death of Seattle is the most obvious example. Widespread drug/alcohol abuse and violent crime in Yakima itself is another.

It’s sadly funny that the antidote to today’s problems is reviled and rejected by so many who think they know so much.
