White House

FILE — Storm clouds roll over the West Wing of the White House, Tuesday June 18, 2019, in Washington.

To the editor — There were two letters to the editor on July 5.

Namely, Michael Martin of Selah ("Trump lies so frequently that he cannot be believed") and Andrew D. Whitmont of Yakima ("Warren understands the need for regulated capitalism").

I have read their letters before and enjoy them, even though I disagree with them. Right or wrong, I try to understand what people are thinking.

It finally dawned on me that the problems of America can be solved.

Make Martin president and Whitmont vice president. After three months they could switch roles. After a total of six months, problems solved.
