William A. Munsterman, age 89, passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2019. He was born in Bremer County, Iowa on January 1, 1930 to William and Thekla “Peggy” Munsterman. Bill served in the US Air Force from August 1947-1950 and the US Army from March 1962-1979; serving in Vietnam and France earning several medals, awards, and honors. After leaving the military, Bill went to work for the Yakima County Road Department and retired in 1995 after 15 years of service.

Bill is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen, his son, Michael and daughter in law Ann of Lake Stevens, WA, grandsons, Michael (Carolyn), Joseph, and Peter, and twin great-grandsons, Cole and Evan.

Bill and Helen enjoyed trips to the Oregon Coast and to the casino, and Bill could always be found working on his property, either feeding the ducks and birds, tending to his koi pond, rescuing stray cats, or tending the garden.
