Suzanne “Sue” (Wiganosky) Record passed from this world into the presence of The Lord on Friday, December 21, 2018, in Yakima, WA.
Sue was born November 26, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Federal Way High School in 1971.
She went on to graduate from Seattle Pacific University, class of 1975 with a degree in Education.
Sue was a teacher for the Selah School District and retired after 32 years of successfully impacting the lives of hundreds of students. She continued as a substitute teacher until 2014 when her health began to fail. Sue spent her final years at the place she loved most, at home with her husband John.
Sue was passionate about her faith in God. She enjoyed being a very special aunt to her eight nieces and nephews. Sue loved spending time training and enjoying her dogs and her horses, as well as working outdoors around her home. She loved to camp with her husband, her family and her friends. She was known for her compassion and generosity and gave freely of her time and energy to volunteer and help others in need.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, Roger Wiganosky.
Sue is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, John Record of Yakima, WA; stepson, Darin Record of Yakima, WA; mother, Jeanne (Wiganosky) Christopher of Stanwood, WA; brother, Dave (Kimberly) Wiganosky of Stanwood, WA; and three sisters, Sharon (Mark) Romero of Packwood, WA; Janice (Wayne) Morrow of Yucca Valley, CA; and Julia Wiganosky of Kennewick, WA; eight nieces and nephews; and by John’s sister, Janice Cartozian, and two brothers, Gary (Dottie) Record and Larry Record.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, at 1:00 at the Wiley Union Church, 2711 S. Wiley Rd., Yakima, WA.
