Sonja “Sunny” Lynn Taylor Glover, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday June 1st, 2018 at Apple Creek Family Home.
Sonja was born March 9th, 1942 in Yakima Washington to Charles “Red” and Dorothy “Dotty” Taylor. She was raised and educated in Selah. Sonja was an active leader at Selah High School and went on to earn her radiology degree from YVCC. As an x-ray technician she worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Kittitas Valley Community Hospital, and locally with Dr. Stevenson and Dr. Place. She then went to work for the United State Postal Service until retirement in 2005. She was also, a member of the American Legion and The Daughters of the American Revolution.
Throughout, her life she was passionate about her family, work, reading, and genealogy. She married Leon Glover on December 14th 1963, truly finding the love of her life. She was known for her thoughtful compassion, selfless generosity, and positive demeanor in all aspects of life. She valued both her family and friends above all else.
Sonja is survived by her husband of 54 years Leon Glover of Selah; two children Jodi (Kevin) Lintelman of West Richland and Ryan Glover of Selah: four grandchildren Beth Glover of Selah, Nolan Newman of Spokane, Garrett Glover of Spokane, and Wade Newman of West Richland, brother Stanley (Sharma) Taylor of Selah as well as, many loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Taylor and Dorothy Taylor, her sisters Cindy Laurvick and Pam Glover and nephew Rusty Laurvick.
The funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9th at 11:00 am at Wenas Cemetery with a reception to follow. All are more than welcome to attend; she will forever be loved and missed.
