Earl Richard Guerin, Jr., age 49, of Yakima, WA passed away surrounded by the love of his family on October 10, 2019. He was born on September 8, 1970 to Marilyn Vetsch and Earl Richard Guerin, Sr. Rich received his education in Yakima. He married his “life,” Julie Guerin on September 16, 1995. Together they raised their two beautiful children.

Rich worked for the City of Yakima Water Division, was owner/coach of Yakima MMA, and the pro-match maker for CageSport MMA. He touched and changed many lives throughout the years of his career. He was a man’s man – a hard worker with an old fashioned spirit. He took pride in providing for his family. He never shied away from hard work. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Guerin, his children, Grayson Guerin and Cameron Guerin, his sisters, Michelle Guerin, Tiffney Kynsi, Shelly Hillier, and Kari Denney, his brother, Frank Marazita, his mother and father in law, Jerry and Sylvia Perales, numerous nieces and nephews, and his Yakima MMA fight family. He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Richard Guerin, Sr., mother, Marilynn Vetsch, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11:00 am at Yakima Foursquare Church (700 N. 40th Ave., Yakima, WA 98908) with Inurnment to follow at Tahoma Cemetery. Shaw & Sons Funeral Home is caring for the family. Memories may be shared at www.shawandsons.com.
