On the morning of June 19th, 2019 we lost Marcie Lyczewski Ross AKA “Sparkie” to an unexpected illness. Marcie leaves behind her husband of 17 years Kevin Ross, a daughter, Kyleigh Ross (14), Tyler Rinker (26), and Kasey Ross (23). Marcie was born in Ketchikan, Alaska and moved to Washington soon after birth. Marcie grew up in Union Gap and was a total “Gapper.” She attended Union Gap school K-8th, then Davis HS and graduated in 1991. Marcie and Kevin met the summer of 2002 and then married in the fall of the same year. They bounced around for a year or so until they settled down to raise a family. For the last 3 years she has worked for the Naches School District in the cafeteria, where she loved all the little kiddos who would come through her line and give them hugs and high fives. She definitely loved those kids. She was very involved in Kyleigh’s sports, making sure she’s “got everything” heading out the door.
The last couple years since her parents passed took a toll on her. She had been heartbroken since their passing, but would put that aside to be dedicated to Kyleigh. Marcie leaves behind a sister, Brenda Lyczewski, and a brother, Gary Lyczewski Jr., many nieces and a nephew, two great aunts, aunt Marilyn Lyczewski, and aunt Muriel Morrison, but no grandkids. Which we figured we would never have anyways. Services will be held July 13th at 11 AM at the Naches Cemetery with a potluck luncheon afterward at the “Mighty Tieton” in Tieton, Washington. Viewing is Wednesday, July 10th from 4-6 PM at Brookside in Moxee.
