Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory
Larry Beaudry, 70, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend to all, peacefully passed away September 5, 2019, due to complications from a tragic fall. Those lucky enough to know Larry quickly learned and admired that he had never met a stranger. Larry’s countless relationships and love for others are everlasting in all of our memories.
Larry was born in Prosser, Washington on February 15, 1949, and was the youngest child and only son to William and Alma (Bouchey) Beaudry. He grew up with four older sisters, Dolores, Darlene, Margret, and Marylou, attended Prosser High School, and graduated from Central Washington University. While in college, Larry fell in love with and married Diane (Kanzler) Beaudry on October 4, 1969. Larry and Diane were blessed with two sons Ty and Scott Beaudry.
Larry and Diane raised their family in Yakima, WA, where they were both teachers and shaped lives of so many for 30 years, resulting in a lasting legacy for years to come. When not working, Larry spent time sharing his love of baseball, football, and camping with his sons. 2003 proved to be the most challenging and life-changing year in losing Diane to cancer and becoming a grandfather.
Larry rekindled a high school friendship, which soon after resulted in a loving marriage to Glynda (Harvill) Beaudry on May 12, 2006. Together they made the most of their retirement by enjoying and supporting their grandchildren, adventurous travel, and occasional stops to the casino.
Larry is survived by his wife Glynda; children, Ty (wife Mandi), Scott (wife Angela); stepchildren, Eric Jones (wife Krista), Jennifer Schackel (husband Travis); grandchildren, Dennis, Halle, Dylan, Ethan, Kylie; step-grandchildren, Katelyn, Emily; and sister, Dolores Suhadolnik.
A Vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2019, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2019, both at the Holy Family Catholic Church (5315 Tieton Dr., Yakima, WA 98908). Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Funeral Home, www.brooksidefuneral.com.
