Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory
Keith T. Fowler, “Grand Pa,” was born on January 5, 1943 to Keith H. Fowler and Fanny Mae Ezell. Keith attended school in Toppenish where he graduated with the class of 1961. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967.
Keith had several things that inspired him. Keith was very passionate about Parkinson’s, the disease he battled for the past 13 years. Keith founded and started the first Pedaling for Parkinson’s program in Yakima. Keith’s other inspiration was his golfing with his buddies, Shawn and Gary, at Mt. Adams Golf Course. He was passionate about watching his grandchildren play baseball, soccer, and basketball. “Grandpa” often went to these games equipped with his video camera. It was always said that ESPN and Chris Berman should watch out.
Keith is survived by his partner who was always at his side, Erlene Cooper, his son, Ritch (Kaitlin) Fowler of Yakima, WA, daughter, Cheryl of Satus, WA, step daughter, Sandy (Earl) Dahtstrom of Yakima, WA, step son, Jason (Rosa) Lundberg of Pasco, WA, and step son, Kyle (Jennifer) Lundberg of Medical Lake, WA, and grandchildren, Ryan and Nick Fowler, Abigail, Emma, Jacob, and Joshua Lundberg, and Madison, Jasmine, and Johnathan Lundberg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Fanny Mae, granddaughter, Kelsey Walker, and son in law Kevin E. Parsley.
A private family service will be held at this time with a Celebration of Life taking place later in the summer. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pedaling for Parkinson’s in care of Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936).
