Kathryn Mae Gimmaka of Everson, WA went to be with her Savior on February 11, 2019. Kay was born in Yakima, WA on March 9, 1923 to Carl and Clara (Groenig) Stave. Shortly after marrying Everett Gimmaka in 1941 they moved to Seattle, WA and were married for 68 years before his death in 2010. Through the years they lived in Sammamish, Woodinville and Everson, Washington. Kathryn was a deeply devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by 5 children: Mel (Carol) Gimmaka and Marsha (Dennis) Drain of Everson, WA, Barbara (John) Borton of Yakima, WA, Beth (Bennet) King of Austin, TX and Dan (Theresa) Gimmaka of Woodinville, WA, 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Everett, her sister Linnea Cherrington, her daughter Sandra Gimmaka and her granddaughter April Borton. Her love for the Lord was evident in how she spent her time, how she treated people and how she prayed for her family. For most of her life she was active in the church teaching Sunday School, working with teens, planning activities for seniors and supporting missionaries.
