Devin Chase Roybal died peacefully at home on Sunday, December 8, 2019 in Yakima, WA at the age of 18.

Devin is survived by his parents, Rocky and Gina Roybal of Yakima, WA, siblings, Gage Roybal and Leilani Hernandez both of Yakima, WA. Nephews, Gavin, Mavrick and Robert James. Grandparents, Bob and Janie Gilmore, of Lincoln, WA, Auntie Sally and Uncle Jonny Ison Jr, Cousin Jazmine Ison and Jordan Seech of Portland, OR, Auntie Stephanie and Uncle Josh Woodcock, Cousins Caleb, Jacob and Seth Woodcock of Yakima, WA, Aunt Stephanie and Uncle James Williams of Yakima, WA. Cousins Melissa, Mario, Angelo, Joaquin and Camillo Herrera of Seattle, WA. Uncle Ronnie and Barb Roybal of Yakima, WA and Aunt Tonya Jackson and Cousin Kyron Jackson of, Monterey, CA and honorary brother Tyler Gatterman with many cousins and other family members throughout WA and CA State. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Josie Cuellar of Yakima, WA and Grandfather, Kent Morin of Yakima, WA.

Devin was born on May 23, 2001 in Yakima, WA. He graduated from West Valley High School in 2019. Devin enjoyed playing soccer, basketball and hiking with his dad. He enjoyed spending time at his grandparent’s lake house riding quads, fishing, turkey hunting and going out to the jumping rocks. He enjoyed attending youth group on Wednesdays at Stone Church with his buddy Ethan. He was an avid collector of hoodies and shoes. He loved raiding Pink Grammie’s fridge and eating all her dark chocolate, but his favorite memory was having Pink Grammie take him for a Rice Bowl after school. Devin was a beautiful light and will be missed by all who knew him.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Englewood Christian Church from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM with a reception to follow at Zesta Cucina in the upstairs hall from 1:00-3:00 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Devin’s life.

Ok handsome Devin, you’re laughing in Heaven at me as this the third time I’ve tried to post a loving note to you. However I think you’re in Heaven causing mischief already!! No wonder you became one of my sons as soon as I met you!

Don’t know exactly what happened or why baby, but my sons thought you were great! Pretty sure Dimick thought your guys breakfasts’ were awesome!
