Christine Lorraine Kathleen Bethay, 8 years old, of Yakima, was born March 11, 2007. Our precious angel left this world on Monday, July 27, 2015.
She was entering the third grade at McKinley Elementary School where she has made many friends. Christine brought so much love, joy, comfort and generosity in all the lives she touched. Just her big smile would make you smile. Christine was timid and scared as a little girl and grew up to be a daredevil! Recently, at a trip to Disneyland, she rode every thrill ride. Her favorite was the Tower of Terror!
Christine loved playing with her best friends (cousins), Christian, Whitney and Makalee. Together they would play outside on the trampoline for hours or play video games. Christian describes the two of them as him being the glue and Christine the glitter. She was a little mommy to her baby cousins, Cameron and Christopher, always offering her help taking care of them. Christine never met a sad person and left them unhappy. She was our bright spot on earth and now our shining star in heaven.
There’s a Special Angel in Heaven
There’s a special angel in Heaven
That is a part of me,
It is not where I wanted her to be.
She was here but just a moment
Like a nighttime shooting star.
And though she is in Heaven
She isn’t very far.
She touched the hearts of many
Like only an angel can do.
I would’ve held her every minute
If the end I only knew.
So send this special message
To Heaven up above.
Please take care of my angel God
And send her all my love.
Christine is survived by Willie and Lorraine (mommy) Bethay, parents, Brandon Bethay and Kyra Stone, her sisters, Crissy, Angelina, Arryanna and Dreah; grandparents, Kim & Mike Colby, great-grandparents, Patti & Bob Hatzenbeler, uncle Michael & Juani Lewis, aunts, Marrissa & Miranda Bethay; great-aunts, Debbie Sauve, and Kathy Evans and several other aunts, many cousins and friends.
