Our beautiful daughter, Christina Linnea Johnson, passed away on Oct. 28, 2019, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Spokane, WA. She was born on October 30, 1972 in Yakima, WA, to Dan and Margie Johnson.
Christina graduated from Toppenish High School in 1991, attended the University of Oregon and graduated from Scottsdale Culinary Institute. For the past fifteen years she had been employed by Kraffs Clothing in Toppenish as their webmaster.
Christina enjoyed numerous activities such as knitting, making arts and crafts, painting, and creating gourmet meals for husband Jim and close friends. She loved cooking for everyone and enjoyed the camaraderie that went along with it, and her cheerful humor and witty character were one of a kind. Her kindness toward others extended to making food dishes when a death took place and preparing food for those in need.
Christina was too young to be called to Heaven, but the Lord called her name and she came. Five years ago she almost died of NIHI, aka Aards disease, but the Lord allowed her another five years to be with those she loved.
Christina is survived by her husband Jim Tucker, parents Dan and Margie Johnson of Zillah, brothers Justin and fiance Melissa Schiel, Jacob and wife Leslie, sister Jessica and friend Daniel Johan, nephews Anthony, Charley and Grady, mother-in-law Pat Tucker, sister-in-law Shelly Cardenas and husband Jerry and nieces Meagan and Haley. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and she is preceded in death by father-in-law Jim Tucker Sr. Her dog and best pal, Nikki, will surely miss her.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 8th at 2:00 PM at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Spokane, WA. Vigil will be Nov. 7th at 7:30 PM. Memorial service will be held in Toppenish on Nov. 16th at 2:00 PM at Mt. Adams Golf Course.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
