Carole Ann Valentine

Carole Ann Valentine passed away on June 1, 2018 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane surrounded by her family. After a long and brave fight with health issues, her battle is over and she can rest peaceful. She was 65 years old.

A lifelong resident of Selah, Carole was born November 5, 1952. She attended Selah Public Schools where she graduated in 1971. During those years, she participated in the drill team and was honored in her prom court. She met her husband, Dan while they were both students at Selah High School. They were married in 1972. Carole enjoyed singing and did so throughout her life in church, school chorus, and a cappella groups. She served on the Selah School Board while her sons were young. Later, she returned to school at Yakima Valley Community College to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Carole and Dan retired to Lake Roosevelt in the River Rue Community in 2017.

Carole is survived by her husband of 45 years, Daniel Paul Valentine; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Suzanne Valentine and granddaughter, Harper, of Austin, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Kelly Valentine and grandchildren, Nicole, Jeremy, and Summer of Selah, WA; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Ross Bair of Pasco, WA: brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence Watkins and Kristina Webber of Ocean Park, WA. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Johnny and Pauline Watkins of Selah, WA and sisters, Janice Johnson of Ephrata, WA and Patricia Lehman of Priest River, ID.

A memorial gathering is planned for Friday, June 8, 2018 at 2 pm at the home of Eric and Kelly Valentine located at 7772 N. Wenas Road, Selah, WA. In lieu of flowers, please pass along quiet moments of kindness to those in need or financial support to the American Liver Foundation.

So sorry Carol will no longer be with us. She was always so upbeat whenever I saw her. My sympathy to the family. She was a good soul.
