Betty C. Rison (Cooley)

Keith & Keith Funeral Home

On the road again, heaven bound. Betty C. Rison (Cooley) age 82, was born March 21, 1937 in Naches, Washington, and was called home on June 8, 2019. Betty was raised with her siblings in Naches and regardless of where she lived, always considered Naches her home.

Betty was loved by all who knew her and was truly the kindest, most caring, and loving person. Betty was proud of her large family and enjoyed spending time with her best friends Mavis and Ruth. Betty was the matriarch of her family and enjoyed babysitting numerous nieces and nephews, spending time with her family, and attending family reunions. She also loved her birthday dinner celebrations every year and going out dancing with her family and friends. She was a collector of all things Betty Boop, loved to travel, and enjoyed drawing as a pastime.

Betty is survived by her daughters Teresa Davison of Naches and Sheila Weber of Yakima; her son Troy Rison and wife Jennifer of Selah, as well as 7 granddaughters, Stephanie Hayes, Courtney Shephard, Nicole Brown, Ashley Rison, Brittany Rison, Lindsey Rison, and Kristy Rison, and 1 grandson, Chase Rison. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Lemuel Cooley and Alice (Botts) Cooley, her husband Terry Rison, 2 sisters, 5 brothers, daughter Pamela Rison, and son Todd Rison.

Betty will always be remembered by her quick wit, sass, and sense of humor. She always had the greatest stories to tell and memories to share. She was the best copilot to have on long road trips, as she would make sure you stayed awake and kept the stories coming. There will never be another “Aunt Betty,” as she is simply irreplaceable. The grandchildren will always remember Grandma Rison by the many games she would create, playing card games, and her favorite dice game 10,000. She was a light in our family and the one we could always count on. Betty will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
