Aurora Salinas, 69, of Wapato, Washington passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 with her family and loved ones by her side. Aurora was born in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Nabor and Trinidad Salinas on January 2, 1950. Aurora moved to Wapato, Washington where she lived the remainder of her years. Aurora worked in agriculture in her youth and retired from the Wapato School District.

She married the late Ricardo P. Salinas in 1983 and began a wonderful life together until her final moments in life. Aurora is survived by seven children, Richard Salinas Jr. of Wapato, WA, Ruben J. Salinas (Alicia) of Yakima, WA, Rolando Salinas (Michelle) of Seattle, WA, Rene C. Salinas of Seattle, WA, Ileanna E. Salinas of Yakima, WA, Sergio O. Padilla of Indio, CA and Luis Javier R. Salinas of Wapato, WA; and a great deal of grandchildren that loved her tremendously and unconditionally.

Aurora also had four brothers, Juan Manuel (Johnny) Salinas (dec.), Rodolfo (Rudy) Salinas (dec.), Raul (Roy) Salinas (dec.), and Nabor Salinas Jr., and six sisters, Sally Salinas DeLeon, Isabel Salinas Garza, Rosalia Salinas Rivera, Alicia Salinas, Frances Salinas Gonzalez and Esperanza (Cynthia) Salinas.

Aurora was a wonderful mother, wife and person that expressed her love to all. The amount of people that loved her is a true testament to her legacy in life. She will be dearly missed by all that met and loved her. With a heavy heart and tremendous gratitude for the person that she exemplified, we are happy that she has rejoiced with her husband Ricardo and family that have preceded her. Rest easy and know that we love you.

A viewing will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home (500 Prospect, Moxee, WA 98936). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (201 N. Iler St., Moxee, WA 98936) at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
