Adam Morehead, age 52, of Yakima, passed away on October 4, 2019 at Cottage in the Meadow surrounded by his family. He was born on February 28, 1967 to Arthur Morehead and Sharon (Hert) Morehead. He graduated from Davis High School and Yakima Valley Community College. He also attended Western State College. In 1989 he had a son, Devyn, with Katrina Harris. He said that was his greatest achievement. After leaving Western State he moved to Seattle. While in Seattle he joined the punk rock scene. He was in numerous bands including Government Cheese, Glutton For Punishment, Passafist and Dog Tooth Violet. He worked at many jobs including an assistant Activity Director in a nursing home, (which was one of his favorite jobs because he was able to play his guitar as part of his duties and take the residents to fun places like sporting events and the race track), house painter and even Santa Claus one Christmas. His primary occupation while in Seattle was as an apartment manager. He was married twice, first was Karen Cameron and then to Kirsten Beal. He moved back to Yakima in 2011 after the death of his brother. He was always up for an adventure. He loved camping, hiking, white water rafting and golfing. He even tried zip lining once. But he felt his son and family were his biggest loves. In recent years due to his declining health his favorite activity was to attend concerts to listen to bands. Punk rock was his favorite but he liked almost all kinds of music. He also loved talking to family and friends. He loved a good argument and conversation.

He is survived by his parents Art and Sharon Morehead of Yakima, a son, Devyn Harris of Vancouver, Wa., 3 brothers, Joaquin Morehead of Yakima, Wa., Arthur Morehead and Eugene Morehead both of Denver, Co., 1 sister, Barbara Lucero of Denver, Co., a granddaughter, Violet Harris of Vancouver, Wa., and a grandson, Ryker Harris also of Vancouver. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Pauline Hert and Charles and Louise Morehead, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12th at Noon at Rainier Funeral Memorial Center.
