Police tape generic

UNION GAP — Three juvenile males detained in connection with the stabbing death of a 16-year-old boy at the Valley Mall were questioned and released pending further investigation, said Union Gap Police Chief Greg Cobb.

The boy was stabbed in the abdomen about 4:35 p.m. Saturday when a fight broke out in an upstairs bathroom of the Macy’s store at 2525 Main St. in Union Gap, Cobb said.

The boy was taken to a local hospital, where he died, according to a police news release.

Police are now looking into new information they have received about the stabbing, Cobb said.
