Yakima Herald-Republic sports reporter Luke Thompson, center, interviews Zillah football players Clay Delp, right, and Sebastian Godina, left, before competing against Godina in a football challenge.

The summer video series tried to shift into a higher gear this week to keep up with Zillah wide receiver Sebastian Godina.

Three efforts to match the high jump of Prosser's Haden Hicks fell far short in the last installment, a good reminder that nothing about long jumping is as easy as it looks. Of course, few student-athletes beat Hicks last spring when he won the district title in the long jump and high jump.

Zillah's Sebastian Godina found plenty of success on both sides of the ball last fall, when he made the all-SCAC West first team as a defensive back and second team as a wide receiver. So we brought out his quarterback, Claysen Delp, for a simple 1-on-1 competition to see who could catch and defend more passes.
