YAKIMA, Wash. -- The latest batch of "Windows Alive!" art is set to be unveiled Friday.
The new work by local artists will fill otherwise vacant downtown Yakima storefront windows, continuing the "Windows Alive!" mission from when the exhibit debuted in 2013.
This batch of work comes from Yakima painter Becky Melcher, Selah metal-jewelry artist Barbara Wallen, Moxee painter Judy Markham, Moxee tapestry artist Roxie Prothero Basford, Ellensburg painter Jamie Van Gordon and the Tieton-based Tieton Mosaic studio. Their work will debut at a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday along the sidewalk on the north side of Yakima Avenue between Third and Fourth streets.
