Red-flag warning issued for Central Washington
The National Weather Service has declared a red flag warning for Central Washington on Thursday.
Red flag warnings are implemented when weather conditions are conducive to spreading wildfire. The forecast calls for wind gusts up to 20 mph, humidity in the 15- to 20-percent range and a high in the low 90s, according to the weather service’s Pendleton, Ore., office.
The weather service advises against outdoor burning during the alert, which is expected to run from 2 to 8 p.m.
