A 22-year-old man has been arrested in a drive-by shooting in a residential area of Moxee.
No one was injured, but a car on the 100 block of Tacoma Street was damaged by gunfire at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, a news release from the Moxee Police Department said. Four people were inside a nearby home, including two small children, police said.
Police interviews and video surveillance pointed to the suspect, whom police say had a personal motive. He was booked into the Yakima County jail on suspicion of drive-by shooting and malicious mischief.
Police characterized the shooting as a “personal, isolated incident.”
