More rain is on the way for the Yakima Valley, according to the National Weather Service.

The latest forecast calls for another chance of showers Tuesday, and after 11 a.m. the weather service said another string of thunderstorms will move through the area.

Conditions are forecast to clear up later this week. A ridge of high pressure moving through the area will bring with it clearing skies and higher temperatures. The forecast for Wednesday and Thursday calls for mostly sunny conditions across the Valley.

The Yakima area received 0.31 of an inch of rain on Sunday, according to the weather service.
