A Coulee City man was transported to a Prosser hospital for injuries from a vehicle collision two miles north of Mabton Sunday afternoon, Washington State Patrol said.

Just after 3 p.m., Andrew P. Camden, 30, was driving a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup truck southbound on State Route 241 toward the intersection with Grandview Pavement Road. At the intersection, the truck collided with a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Irma Velasco-Alvarez, 59, of Jalisco, Mexico.

Velasco-Alvarez was driving her car southbound on Grandview Pavement Road. State Patrol said she did not yield when she turned her vehicle onto the northbound lane of State Route 241.

Camden was transported to Prosser Memorial Hospital. His condition was not immediately available. Neither Velasco-Alvarez or the two passengers in her car, Maria B. Oseguera, 15; and Sofia Godinez, 15, both of Jalisco, Mexico, were injured.

State Patrol plans to charge Velasco-Alvarez for not stopping at a stop sign.
