GRANDVIEW, Wash. — Washington State Patrol troopers say intoxicants were a factor in a crash that left two people injured early Saturday near Grandview.

A 1992 Acura Integra driven by Mario A. Garcia-Bueno, 33, of Sunnyside was heading east on Interstate 82 less than a mile east of the Grandview exit shortly before 12:20 a.m. when it struck a 2006 Lexus, according to a State Patrol news release. The Lexus struck the guardrail and then rolled over, the release said.

Two people in the Lexus, Belisario Salas-Martinez, 34, and Rosa E. Lua-Birrueta, 31, both of Connell, were taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, the release said. Salas-Martinez, the Lexus’ driver, was in satisfactory condition while Lua-Birrueta, was treated and released.

Garcia-Bueno was not injured. Troopers said he is expected to be cited for driving under the influence.
