TOPPENISH — A man is dead following an officer-involved shooting in Toppenish on Saturday afternoon.

The shooting occurred sometime around 1:30 p.m. in the 400 block of North Chestnut Street, said Yakima County Sheriff’s Sgt. Judd Towell. Two Toppenish officers were involved in the incident, Towell said.

Authorities were not releasing the names of the man who was shot, nor the officers involved.
