The Yakima Baha’i community will celebrate the birth of the Bab bicentenary on Oct. 28.
A celebration is planned from 6:30 to 8 p.m at Oxford Suites, 1701 E. Yakima Ave., according to a news release. It will include exhibits, a 45-minute film called “Dawn of Light” and refreshments. The public is welcome.
Baha’is from across the Yakima Valley dedicated two rose bushes at the Yakima Arboretum last month to celebrate the bicentenaries of the birth of the faith’s founder, Baha’u’llah, and his herald, Bab. Their message was for the establishment of peace and unity.
