NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO APPROPRIATE PUBLIC WATERS

TAKE NOTICE:

That on August 29, 1995, the Town of Tieton of Tieton, Washington, under Application No. G4-32350 applied, with amendments, to appropriate public waters, subject to existing rights, from three wells at a withdrawal rate of 1,550 gallons per minute, for the purpose of municipal domestic water supply, not to exceed 20.19 acre-feet per year (consumptive use), continuously.

That the source of the proposed appropriation is located at up to three wells within the City’s Urban Growth Area including those areas within SE1/4NE1/4, E1/2SE1/4 of Section 12 in Township 14 North Range 16 East, the S1/2NW1/4, N1/2SW1/4 of Section 7 in Township 14 North Range 17 East outside of the UGA in Yakima County.

That the place of use of the proposed appropriation is located within the City’s service area described in the most recent Water System Plan approved by the Washington State Department of Health, so long as the water system is and remains in compliance with the criteria in RCW 90.03.386(2). RCW 90.03.386 may have the effect of revising the place of use of this water right. The proposed appropriation will be fully mitigated by a water right held in the State’s Trust Water Rights Program.

Protests or objections to approval of this application must include a detailed statement of the basis for objections. All letters of protest will become a public record. Cash shall not be accepted. Fees must be paid by check or money order and are nonrefundable. Protests must be accompanied by a $50 recording fee payable to the Department of Ecology, Cashiering Unit, PO Box 47611, Olympia, WA 98504-7611, within 30 days from: January 2nd, 2021
