PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE   The Housing Authority of the City of Yakima (YHA), Washington is providing an opportunity to receive public comments on their proposed Move to Work (MTW) Supplement, impact analysis and hardship policies for the Housing Choice Voucher Program. The comment period will end at the close of business on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.   In addition, a public hearing will be held at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Yakima Housing Authority Administration Office, 810 N. 6th Avenue, Yakima, which is handicapped accessible. If translation and/or interpreter services are needed, please contact the Housing Authority at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting.   At that time, YHA will review the MTW Supplement, answer questions and receive comments. During the same meeting, YHA will also present and discuss its Safe Harbor Waiver under a separate agenda item with its own dedicated time slot.   Copies of the proposed MTW supplement, impact analysis and hardship policies are available prior to the hearing upon request or are available for review at the Housing Authority Office. If you are unable to attend the hearing and want to submit written comments on the plan, please submit them prior to the meeting, to the person/address listed below.   During the public comment period, YHA program participants and members of the general public are invited to provide written comment and to submit them via email to Carlos Reyes, carlos.reyes@yakimahousing.org.   For more information about the MTW supplement, impact analysis, hardship policies or the hearing, contact Lowel Krueger, Executive Director, at (509) 508-0191 or visit the office at 810 N. 6th Ave, Yakima.   YHA will consider all comments received during the public comment period and at the public hearing and may modify the MTW Supplement and related materials in response. YHA’s Board of Commissioners will meet on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. at the YHA Administration Office (810 N. 6th Avenue) to take action on the MTW Supplement.
