BOARD OF YAKIMA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Notice of Public Hearing   NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Yakima County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 10:00 am, or as soon thereafter as possible, to receive public comments on the 6-month moratorium (Resolution No. 200-2022) prohibiting the establishment of moderate to large-scale solar facilities to provide the County sufficient time to study appropriate regulations for the establishment of moderate to large-scale solar facilities and to develop a work plan for the implementation of such regulations. Public comments on the moratorium will be considered at the hearing as indicated below:   The hearing will be held in the Yakima County Courthouse Basement Conference Room 33B, 128 North 2nd Street, Yakima, Washington. Meeting Phone Number: 1-206-337-9723 (ID & Passcode Above).   You may provide verbal comments at the public hearing. In addition, all mailed comments received prior to the hearing will be considered. You may send written comments to: Board of Yakima County Commissioners, Yakima County Courthouse, Room 232, 128 North Second Street, Yakima, WA 98901 or to the Yakima County Planning Division, Fourth Floor Courthouse, 128 North Second Street, Yakima, WA 98901. Be sure to reference the Solar Moratorium or Resolution No. 200-2022 in your correspondence. Copies of the moratorium are available upon request. All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and participate. Further information on the moratorium can be obtained in Public Services Department - Planning Division at the address listed above.   The Yakima County Courthouse Basement Conference Room 33B is handicap accessible. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate the needs of special classes of citizens, including handicap accessibility or interpreter, will be made upon receiving advance notice. This public hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities.
