— A Kennewick man died Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 near the summit of Snoqualmie Pass, the Washington State Patrol said.

Raymond Whitlow, 65, suffered fatal injuries when his 1997 Porsche Boxster collided with a 2007 Kia Sportage about 8 a.m. while both vehicles were westbound, troopers said.

Troopers said Whitlow lost control of his car and veered into the other vehicle’s lane. The cause of the crash was under investigation, according to a patrol news release.

He was a lawyer in Kennewick and the senior athletic director at Tri-Cities Prep in Pasco, according to the Tri-City Herald.

The Kia’s driver — 30-year-old Tommie Murray of Kennewick — was not hurt.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Intoxicants were not suspected of being involved in the accident, authorities said.
