YAKIMA, Wash. — There’s a rumor of good news: God is alive. Not only that, the Capitol Theatre will be filled with gospel rock music next month.

The Newsboys, a Grammy-nominated Christian music group from Australia, is bringing its “God’s Not Dead Tour” to Yakima on March 4.

The Christian pop rock band will play at 7 p.m. in the Capitol Theatre, 19 S. Third St.

The Newsboys, nominated for four Grammys, formed in 1985 and has released 16 studio albums. The latest is “God’s Not Dead,” a rock-driven worship album, from 2011.

Also on the bill will be Building 429, named New Artist of the Year in 2005 by the Gospel Music Association, All Things New and Campbell.

Tickets cost $75 for VIP seats, $30 reserved and $25 general admission. Tickets at the door will cost an additional $5.

Tickets are available locally at Songs of Praise, a Christian book and Bible store in the Valley Mall in Union Gap. They are also sold online at www.lmgconcerts.com and by calling 856-443-8499. Groups of 10 or more qualify for group discounts.
