Impact Directories of Washington has promoted Paul Hauser to the sales manager position. He has spent the past 18 months with Impact Directories as a sales representative and has been in Yellow Page advertising for three years.

The company has also promoted Ben Rodriguez to the office manager/distribution manager position. Rodriguez has been serving on Impact Directories' distribution team for 13 months.

It also has hired Dawn Gaulke, Jackie McCurty and Steve Sundborg as account managers. Gaulke was previously was self-employed and has done administrative work for a variety of local businesses. Sundborg is a student at Central Washington University. McCurty previously worked at the Spokesman-Review working in a variety of departments, including sales and distribution.

Economic development

New Vision, the county's economic development group, has appointed new officers for 2008. They are: Brian Roberts, Argus Insurance, chairman; David Miller, LeMaster & Daniels, vice chairman; Elizabeth McGree, JEM Development, secretary; David Murray, Wheatland Bank, treasurer; Pete Bansmer, Yakima Federal Savings and Loan Association, past chair; and Michael Shepard, Yakima Herald-Republic, executive committee member at-large.

Finance

Rural Community Development Resources, which provides loans and assistance to small businesses has selected Guillermo Castaneda of Granger to serve a three-year term on its board. Castaneda is a private consultant who has experience in managing nonprofit organizations.

Law

The Yakima County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has hired David Soukup as a deputy prosecuting attorney in the Felony Division. Soukup is a graduate of the University of Washington and the Seattle University School of Law. He previous served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Kitsap, Stevens and Thurston counties.
