A Dodge pickup may have caused a fire that destroyed a two-car garage and damaged a house Tuesday afternoon in Terrace Heights, firefighters said.
Crews responded to the call in the 300 block of Terrace Hills Drive, and quickly doused the blaze. Flames were kept from spreading to a nearby home and contained to the garage, roof and attic, East Valley Deputy Chief Mike Riel said.
No one was injured.
“They did a good job of knocking the fire down,” he said.
A Dodge pickup parked inside the garage was also damaged, and the intensity of the blaze burned off the vehicle’s paint.
Damage had yet to be estimated, he said.
Crews checked the interior of the home to assure the fire didn’t spread to its interior.
Riel said the pickup may have been the origin of the fire, and that fire officials will investigate.
