BILLINGS, Mont. -- Sophomore Ellie Eckroth played a part in two quick-strike goals and goalkeeper Amber Easterbrook notched another shutout as Central Washington University blanked Montana State-Billings
2-0 in GNAC women's soccer on Wednesday.
Eckroth scored at the 7:19 mark and then assisted on Lynde Clark's goal at 12:52.
Easterbrook made seven saves and recorded her fifth shutout of the season and the 13th of her career for the Wildcats (1-1, 4-2-2).

YVCC falls in four
MOSES LAKE -- Ali Walen's 16 kills and
16 digs led Big Bend to a 19-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-18 win over Yakima Valley in NWAACC East Region play Wednesday night.
Kinsey Doering collected 20 assists for the Yaks, and Roweena Yamat had 13 digs.

Eglin 4th in Women's Sr. Team
BREMERTON -- Nancy Eglin and partner Rachel Whittington closed with a final-round 71 and finished fourth in the 26th PNGA Women's Team Championship at Gold Mountain Golf Course.
Eglin, from Yakima, and Whittington had a 216 total after Wednesday's four-ball format, finishing five shots behind the winning team of Loree McKay and Ginny Burkey.
McKay and Burkey defeated Jean Smith and Karen Darrington in a playoff after the two teams finished tied at 211. McKay and Burkey earned a share of the lead with a final round 68.
Two other Yakima players, Robin Cole and Cindi Stewart, finished 10th, closing with a 74 for a 227 total.
Crimp team moves into second
BREMERTON -- Keith Crimp and partner John Hulbert fired a 63 in Wednesday's scramble format to move into second place after the second round of the 26th PNGA Men's Senior Team Championship at Gold Mountain Golf Course.
Crimp, from Ellensburg, and Hulbert, from Marysville, have a two-round total of 130, four shots behind leaders Bill Hood and Dick Shafer.
Hood and Shafer had a 58 Wednesday to take the lead entering today's final round, which features a four-ball format.

Sprint Car finals at State Fair
The ASCS Northwest Region championships will be staged at State Fair Raceway on Friday and Saturday during the first two days of the Central Washington State Fair.
After 11 events, Jayme Barnes of Marysville has a two-point lead over Snohomish's Jared Ridge and a six-point margin over Medford's Roger Crockett.
Racing is slated to get started at 6 p.m. both days and the cost is included with a Fair ticket.
