YAKIMA -- Coming off back-to-back 7-3 seasons, Eisenhower's football program will enjoy one of its all-time highlights today when the Cadets play at Qwest Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks.
With nine returning starters on both sides of the ball, Coach Dan Eyman's squad will open the season against Eastside Catholic of Sammamish at noon.
In the second of five games that make up the Emerald City Kickoff Classic, Eisenhower will face a Class 3A opponent that is picked to finish second behind O'Dea in the Metro League's Mountain Division.
On display will be two of the state's top offensive players -- Eisenhower quarterback Taylor Elmo and EC running back Mike Bush, a 1,000-yard rusher last year as a junior.
