The music never stops, even for the Dave Matthews Band, which lost its beloved sax player and co-founding member LeRoi Moore on Aug. 19.
Last Sunday, the always politically and environmentally active jam band helped kick off the Democratic National Convention with a "green" concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater outside Denver.
And this weekend, the DMB returns to its Labor Day Weekend home-away-from-home: the Gorge Amphitheatre.
The DMB has been playing the Gorge for longer than anyone can remember, so it won't be too surprising if there is a little reflection on Matthews' part -- and by the audience -- on the absence of Moore.
The Dave Matthews Band plays today, Saturday and Sunday. The shows start each night at 7 with O.A.R. opening. Tickets -- if available -- cost $48.50 and $70 through Ticketmaster, 509-453-7139, www.ticketmaster.com.
