Finance

The College for Financial Planning has awarded Jorrell Meyer with the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation. This designation will provide Meyer, of Edward Jones, the information needed to provide comprehensive financial services, including understanding the asset management process and asset allocation and strategies. To earn the designation, Meyer completed a program and passed a final exam.

Durrett & Associates has hired Susie Keefer as its new executive assistant. She previously was region administrative assistant with U.S. Bank. Keefer, who has more than nine years of administration experience, has an associate's degree in communications from Bellevue Community College.

Government

The state Department of Transportation has promoted Brian White to the position of assistant regional administrator for project development for the south central region. White previously worked on a variety of paving and bridge construction projects for the agency, most recently as project director for the I-90 Snoqualmie Pass East project.

Law

The Yakima County Prosecuting Attorney's office has hired Quinn Rosborough, George Hansen and Curtis Slatina as deputy prosecuting attorneys in its district court division. Rosborough graduated from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Va.. in May 2007. She was a staff member on the Regent University Journal of International Law. Hansen graduated from the University of Washington, majoring in English, before receiving his law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami. Slatina graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in August, 2003. He previously was an attorney in Michigan for four years before joining the office.

Manufacturing

Adventurer Manufacturing has hired several new senior management team members.

It has hired Dave Frampton as its director of product development and engineering. Frampton, who has 18 years experience, held a similar position with Western Recreational Vehicles. He studied computer-aided design at Phoenix Institute of Technology.

It has hired Jeff Gaskell as its director of operations. Gaskell has managed light/medium industrial manufacturing facilities since 1978, with experience in the consumer, commercial, and military fields. He held a similar position with Trail Wagons/Chinook RV. He has degrees in technical arts from Tacoma Community College and Bates Technical College.

Burk Morgan has been hired as director of sales and marketing. Morgan has 25 years experience in sales and marketing, recently serving in a similar capacity with Western Recreational Vehicles. He holds a degree from Citrus College in California and studied business and marketing at the University of Southern California.

Bill Hahn has been hired as its director of purchasing and warranty. Hahn has more than 25 years experience providing supply chain management in the residential, manufactured housing, and recreational vehicle industries. He recently held the position of purchasing manager with Trail Wagons/Chinook RV. He has attended The College of William and Mary in Virginia and Olympic College.

Medical

Central Washington Medical Group has hired Sunshine Brady-Thomas. She will practice at Vintage Valley Podiatry in Toppenish and at Toppenish Community Hospital.

Brady-Thomas received her doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. She completed her surgical residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va.

The Junior League of Yakima has selected its leadership team for the 2008-2009 year.

They are: Amy McKinney, president; Angela Wentz, president-elect; Melissa Hanses, vice president-finance; Erin Fishburn, assistant treasurer; Chantelle Sliman, vice president-community, Ashley Gamache, vice president-membership; Nancy Gargus, vice president-communications; Norma Moreno, recording/corresponding secretary; Joy Stenehjem, nominating and placement chair; Gretchen Eickmeyer, Junior Leagues of Washington State senior advocate; and Barb Wells and Helen Faringer, sustainer representatives.

Real estate

Negotiation Expertise, a negotiation training & coaching firm, has awarded Ryan Siegmeth the Certified Negotiation Expert designation. Siegmeth, of Prudential Almon Realty, is among the top one percent of all real estate agents nationwide to receive the designation, which he earned by completing certification training.
