A Yakima woman said Wednesday that she has suffered three seizures since her specially trained toy poodle went missing on Saturday.

Debbie Trudeau has begun distributing fliers in hopes that the dog will be returned or that the publicity will generate tips about who might have taken the dog.

The poodle, an 18-month-old named Princess, is specially trained to detect oncoming seizures. Trudeau suffers the seizures because of a brain injury, she said.

Princess vanished from the fenced front yard of a neighbor's home in the 1000 block of South 17th Avenue. She had been staying there while Trudeau, who lives at 1013 S. 17th, was gone for the weekend.

Yakima police said they suspect the dog was stolen, but Trudeau is willing to accept its return without any questions.

Trudeau said she can't afford to offer a reward, but she would give a puppy to the person with the right tip. The dog is scheduled to be bred in November.
