Harpist Bronn Journey will perform at Highland United Methodist Church on Sunday night.
The concert, part of the church's 100th anniversary celebration, begins at 6 p.m. at the church, 261 Hiland Road. Journey will be accompanied by his wife, Katherine.
A reception featuring dessert and fellowship will take place after the concert. Musical recordings will be for sale.
Tickets cost $9 for adults and $5 for students. Children under 10 are free.

Torah study starting in Yakima
A past elder of a westside Messianic synagogue is starting a Torah study in Yakima.
Michael Archer, a longtime member of Beth Ha Shofar Messianic Synagogue in Tukwila, Wash., now lives in Yakima and is looking for people interested in studying the five books of Moses.

'G! UR Rejuvenated' event is Friday
This Friday night is girls' night out at Trinity Baptist Church.
Girlfriends U! of Trinity Baptist Church is hosting a "G! UR Rejuvenated" event from 6-10 p.m. Girls and women 17 and older are invited for a night of relaxation, food and fun.
A variety of vendors will provide complimentary services and food samples in the church fellowship hall, 606 S. 13th Ave. Admission is $5.

Summer Adventure times three
Camp Jubilee's Summer Adventure is being offered three times this season.
Camp sessions run from July 28-30, Aug. 4-6 and Aug. 11-13, and now's the time to sign up.
The Christian camp, for ages 8 to 11, includes arts and crafts, Bible verses, skits and outdoor activities such as hiking.
The cost is $25 per child for two nights and three days. The camp is 35 miles west of Yakima, off U.S. Highway 12.

'Sea Odysseys' is VBS theme
Tree of Life Lutheran Church in Terrace Heights is hosting vacation Bible school starting Monday.
Sessions run from 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the church, 410 N. 37th St. The theme is "Sea Odysseys." All children ages 3 to 14 are invited.
Activities include games, Bible lessons, crafts and music. Youths from Grace Lutheran Church in Des Moines, Wash., will help out during the week.

Ellensburg church meeting at theater
Ellensburg's Increase International Christian Church has moved.
The church, which opened in January, had been meeting at Valley View Elementary School. Its new home is at Grand Meridian Cinema, 504 E. Mountain View Ave.
The theater is great for church services because it's spacious, comfortable and designed for multi-media presentations, say pastors Todd and Ann Pearsons.
The interdenominational Christian church is characterized by contemporary worship; Bible-based, life-application teaching; and opportunities to serve others in the church, community and world. Church services take place at 10 a.m. Sundays.

Rummage sale to aid Nicaraguans
Lighthouse Christian Fellowship is hosting a rummage sale today in Toppenish.
Proceeds will go toward assisting medical and labor missionary teams headed to Managua, Nicaragua. Donations will also be accepted.
The sale takes place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Railroad Park, Asotin and South Toppenish avenues in downtown Toppenish.

Seattle pastor is guest at Breakthrough
Yakima's Breakthrough Christian Center will host two Sunday worship services featuring Elijah Waters, pastor of City Church in Seattle.
Waters will preach at the 11 a.m. Sunday service at the center, 15 N. Seventh Ave.
A citywide youth service featuring Waters as the main speaker takes place Sunday night. Doors open at 6 p.m. The service starts at 7 p.m.
