Agriculture

David and Molly Taylor have received the Washington Farm Bureau 2007 Young Farmers & Ranchers Excellence in Agriculture award. The Taylors, who own and operate Taylor Angus Ranch in the Moxee area, earned the award by best meeting several criteria including leadership skills and involvement in the Farm Bureau and other community organizations.

Finance

Bank of the West has hired John Neill as manager of commercial banking for Eastern Washington. Neill, who has more than 27 years of banking experience, previously worked at Banner Bank in Walla Walla. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Central Washington University and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.

Wilkinson Development LLC has selected David McKinney for the position of senior vice president of operations and communications. He will manage all business ventures and assets, project invoicing, relationships with financial institutions and brokers, communications, marketing, financial analysis and administration, as well as acquisitions of development property. McKinney has been serving as the vice president of operations and communications since May 2007.

Information

People For People has selected Clara Jimenez to serve on its board for a three-year term. Jimenez is a member of the Toppenish City Council.

Law

The Yakima County Prosecuting Attorney's office has hired Jason Kennedy and Brooke Goosman as deputy prosecuting attorneys in the District Court Division. Kennedy, a 2007 graduate of the Gonzaga School of Law, previously interned at Stamper, Rubens, Stocker & Smith P.S. in Spokane. Goosman, also a 2007 graduate of the Gonzaga School of Law, interned for a solo practitioner during law school.

Law Enforcement

The state Department of Licensing has awarded Taylor Kindred the designation of Private Investigator Certified Trainer. Kindred, of Acute Investigative Services, earned the certification by showing three years of private investigator experience and earning a score of 90 percent or higher on the certification examination.
